Danish pavilion at Nor-Shipping 2017

01 Mar 2017

The Danish maritime industry is working on maintaining a strong relationship with its closest neighbours.

With Nor-Shipping 2017 taking place in Norway on 30 May
until 2 June, the Daish Marine Group is in charge of a Danish pavilion at the
show once again.

There is a strong foundation for friendship and strong
business ties between the two Nordic neighbours who both rank in the global top
10 of shipowning nations.

Mark Lerche, head of the Danish Marine Group, said: “Norway is
one of the main markets for Denmark’s maritime equipment and service suppliers.
Norwegian shipowners and shipyards value high-end quality solutions, products
and services, which makes for a perfect match with Danish suppliers.”

He added: “In the international shipping and shipbuilding
industry we are known for delivering energy efficient operating profiles with a
focus on technology development and cooperation.”

Denmark and Norway cooperated on a Scandinavian visit to the
Indonesian ministries of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries late last year, Mr
Lerche believes this shows the attitude of cooperation and dialogue the two countries
have which creates better solutions for both parties.

“Once again we are very happy to welcome Denmark to
Nor-Shipping. They are consistently among our largest collective exhibitors,
and this reflects the strong ties and common interests that the two maritime
countries have,” said Per Martin Tanggaard, Nor-Shipping exhibition director.

Denmark will also reach out to their Finnish neighbours at
Nor-Shipping, with a match-making event between the two countries taking place
during the second day at the Pavilion of Denmark lounge.
